It is a natural cove of difficult access relatively far from the urbanised area of Santander. This place attracts a large number of visitors due to its beauty and tranquillity, being considered a paradise for beach lovers.
It is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Cantabria. Its sand is fine and golden and is 125 metres long and an average of 40 metres wide.
There is public transport to get there, but there is also a large car park. As it is surrounded by high cliffs that give it added scenic value, access to it is somewhat complex, as it has a drop that is negotiated by more than 150 steps.
The water conditions are generally moderate. It is a perfect beach for swimming and enjoying the Cantabrian Sea without worries, as it has a lifeguard service throughout the summer season.
Despite being a natural cove, the beach has an anchoring area, litter bins, showers and footbaths, making it the ideal place to enjoy a sunny day by the sea.
