To the south of the Magdalena Peninsula, we can enjoy Bikini, a beach that is 250 metres long and has an average width of 30 metres.
To reach this place you have to enter the interior of the Royal Site of La Magdalena and, in the middle of the vegetation, you will find an impressive strip of fine golden sand bathed by the calm waters of the beautiful Bay of Santander.
It is located next to the beach of La Magdalena, and although originally the whole beach was called "La Magdalena", in the summer of 1948, it was in this area of the beach where a woman in a bikini was seen for the first time in Spain, it was decided to delimit an area of the beach and call it "Bikini" so that the French students of the Menéndez Pelayo International University could go to the beach as they wished, without upsetting the society of the time.
This beach has a bus stop nearby and a cycle lane, as well as a spectacular promenade.
It offers a relaxed atmosphere and among the rock formations of its calm waters, you will be able to go scuba diving and connect with the essence of the Cantabrian coast.
