The Frontón del Cristo Air Raid Shelter, which shares the building with the Cathedral and Diocesan Historical Archive of Santander and the Manuel Sánchez Monge exhibition hall, is located in an enclave as important as Santander Cathedral, in Obispo Juan Plaza Street.
This air-raid shelter was discovered during work on the chapterhouse, where other important cultural finds have been unearthed, such as the stone walls of the castle of San Felipe, the chapel of San Pedro and remains from the 10th century.
This space has a complete exhibition route that, through 9 panels, tells the history of the city, offering visitors the chance to delve into the origins of Santander.
Free entry.
