The Tabacalera Civic Centre is located at number 36, Calle Antonio López, in the old Tabacalera building, which has been completely refurbished.
It houses one of the largest indoor vertical gardens in Europe, visible on all floors of the building, as well as a rooftop terrace with incredible views of the bay of Santander. The rooftop is the ideal place for music and, in fact, hosts live concerts in the summer to make the most of the good weather.
The centre's rooms have different uses: social work, games library, workshops, training and artistic experimentation, as well as exhibitions and concerts. Among other spaces, the Fábrica de Creación stands out in this centre, a place for artistic training and experimentation that has a room for performing arts, for dance or corporal expression, with a stage and facilities for the development of other plastic arts such as photography or video-creation.
