Santander is lived with intensity, in fact, its people eat up life in bites. Rocked by the waves of the Bay of Biscay, our city enjoys mild temperatures throughout the year that favour the Santander philosophy of enjoyment and leisure.
We love going out, strolling the streets of Santander and, of course, its establishments, and even more so on Sundays. The day par excellence for strolling through bars and terraces, far from the rush of Mondays.
With this Sunday bar and terrace initiative, we want to share with you one of our most deeply-rooted customs, in the most traditional neighbourhoods of Santander. Join us. We'll play music and we'll be able to order the best of each bar's menu.
We're all about having a good time.

Cañadío, a meeting place par excellence for leisure. This square offers an open space that combines perfectly with the gastronomic experience offered by many of the establishments in the area and nearby. Calderón de la Barca - Calle Cádiz
Sunday 27 October | 12:00-17:00 h.
Calle Cádiz is where the fire of 1941 started. Right there, in the heart of the bay, stood the Roman settlement of Portus Victoriae and the castle of Somorrostro. Rebuilt and revitalised, today it is one of the liveliest streets, along with Calderón de la Barca, immersed in the Anillo Cultural and, as always, facing the sea.

Castilla Hermida - Barrio Pesquero
Sunday 3rd November | 12:00-17:00 h.
The Barrio Pesquero is one of the places with the longest seafaring tradition in Santander. It began to be formed in 1943, when the fishermen who lived and worked in Puertochico moved here. You will know you have arrived when you come across small boats on your walk and arrive at a small square decorated with a beautiful mural. Here you can taste the best fish and seafood in its restaurants and taverns.

Calle del Medio - Arrabal
Sunday 10 November | 12:00-17:00 h.
The Calle del Medio, together with the Arrabal, is one of the oldest streets in Santander, representing the Middle Ages. It once belonged to the Barrio del Mar, where fishermen and rowers lived. Nowadays, many Santander locals go here to enjoy their favourite pinchos (tapas) and a few wines. An experience of contrasts that goes well with the abundant offer of bars and terraces.
