It is accessible for people with reduced mobility as it has a lift that descends to the level of the sand. It also has sun loungers and awnings for hire, as well as showers and lockers.
The beach is connected by a cycle path from the city centre and has frequent public transport.
There is a fixed children's play area, which is supervised during the summer season by monitors who carry out, among others, environmental sustainability and beach library activities.
There are several surf schools in the vicinity.
It has two areas dedicated to the popular Cantabrian palas game, where surfing enthusiasts and those who want to do a bit of exercise congregate.
